Lynne Crow is a graduate of Delta State University, Mississippi, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Art Education. During her senior year, she was chosen to be a member of Who's Who in American
Colleges and Universities as well as being crowned Miss Delta State thus represented the university in the Miss Mississippi Pageant. Upon graduation she received her Arkansas teaching certificates
for grades K-12. After working for Auburn University in graphic design and layout for publications, Lynne began her teaching career in a public high school teaching grades 9-12.
Lynne owned and operated Ribbons and Brushes Art School in West Helena, Arkansas from 1987 to 1991, after teaching painting seminars in Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas for several years. Her art education and experience provided the skills she needed to plan and coordinate a variety of special events both for her business as well as for nonprofit organizations. She also enjoyed working for Wayland International Waikiki Art Gallery in 2002 – 2003. She was certified by the Toastmasters International and won her District Speech Competition. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority at Delta State University and later served as an Advisor to the Phi Mu Sorority at the University of Arkansas.
Lynne opened the Painter's Palette Art School in Berryville in October 2009 and returned to her love for teaching and art. Lynne has designed a program of art instruction for children and adults in drawing and painting with a focus on sound fundamentals. Her philosophy of art education centers on the belief that anyone can develop their creative abilities with proper instruction and an organized approach to learning and mastering the skills needed for the medium they want to work in. She strives to nurture the novice, motivate the recreational artist, develop and enhance the skills of the serious artist while providing a teaching environment that allows anyone to reach their full potential.
Lynne has been active in her community, serving on committees for the Northwest Arkansas Women's Conference, the Special Olympics, the Junior Auxiliary, the NWAR Professional Women's Association, and the NWAR Real Estate Association. She has also served as President for a Bentonville POA (Property Owners' Association) as well as the President for the Arkansas Auxiliary to the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association. Lynne enjoyed her experience as a Pageant director, coach and judge as well as being a member of the Ozark Chorale and the First Presbyterian Church of Bentonville choir and the First Presbyterian Church of Eureka Springs choir. Her favorite experiences are while teaching art.
